Every Daughter Matters is the anti-human trafficking arm of International Mission Ministries, a not-for-profit Christian charity based in Australia. Working closely with Aashish (Blessings) Social Service in Nepal, the common goal is to eradicate the trafficking of vulnerable women and girls from Nepal. In addition, this mission includes raising awareness in local communities of the devastating issues that surround trafficking and to educate people in the ways in which traffickers operate. Although trafficking is a global issue, the border between Nepal and India is recognised as one of the major hotspots in the world for this activity, with an annual estimate of 20,000 women and girls lives ruined by this horrid and inhumane practice.
